How is the delivery lead time calculated, and what happens if you're late? +

Lead time starts from the date of deposit receipt and approved golden sample. Standard production: 25-45 days depending on order size. Custom designs add 15-25 days for sampling.

If we're late: Contract includes a penalty clause -- typically 0.5% of order value per week of delay, up to 5%. We've never triggered this clause, but it's there to protect you. Weekly Gantt-chart updates keep you informed before any delay becomes a problem.

What are the payment terms and what protections do I have? +

Standard terms: 30% deposit to start production, 70% balance after pre-shipment inspection is approved by you (or your appointed third-party inspector). L/C (Letter of Credit) accepted for orders over $50,000.

Your 70% balance is only due after you've reviewed and approved the pre-shipment inspection report and photos. You don't pay until you're satisfied with what's in the container.

How do you handle defects or quality issues after delivery? +

Our written warranty covers manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery. If defect rate in a batch exceeds 0.5%, we cover 100% rework or replacement cost -- including shipping.

Process: Submit photos/video within 30 days of delivery → We assess within 48 hours → Resolution plan (replacement parts, rework, or credit) confirmed within 5 business days. No ghosting. No arguing. It's in the contract.

What's the minimum order quantity (MOQ)? +

Standard catalog products: MOQ 50 units. Custom OEM/ODM: MOQ 200 units (varies by complexity). Sampling: 1-5 units, sample cost refundable upon first production order.

For new clients, we recommend starting with a trial order of 50-100 units to verify quality and fit before committing to larger volumes.

Can I visit the factory and audit production? +

Absolutely -- and we encourage it. Factory visits are welcome at any stage. We'll arrange your Foshan visit including airport pickup from Guangzhou Baiyun or Shenzhen, hotel recommendations, factory tour, and team dinner.

Third-party audits (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) are accepted and encouraged. We have nothing to hide -- our factory is audit-ready year-round.

How do you protect my design and prevent copying? +

We sign a bilateral NDA before receiving any design files or proprietary information. For exclusive designs, we offer an exclusivity clause preventing us from producing the same design for any other client.

Our NDA is drafted by a Chinese IP law firm and enforceable under Chinese law. We can also assist you in registering your design patent in China -- a process that typically takes 6-12 months and costs $300-500.

What shipping options are available, and how long does it take? +

We ship from Foshan/Guangzhou port via: Sea freight (20-45 days to Europe/US, most cost-effective for bulk). Air freight (5-10 days, for urgent small orders). Rail freight (18-25 days to Europe, mid-range cost).

We provide full shipping documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and any required compliance certificates. We can arrange cargo insurance and customs broker recommendations in your destination country.

Do you offer private label / white label packaging? +

Yes -- full private label service including custom branded packaging, instruction manuals, warranty cards, and branded accessories. We remove all Aethel branding and replace with yours.

Packaging design service available in-house (free for orders >500 units). We can also produce product photography and 3D renders for your e-commerce listings.
